Aston Martin DB9
The Aston Martin elevated to iconic status by James Bond films was yesterday named Britain's best-loved car. It topped a poll of the nation's favourite motors of the last 25 years. One in 10 motorists picked the luxury sports car's DB9 model, the DBS version of which was driven by 007 star Daniel Craig in the latest movies.
In the TV programme of TopGear, the Aston Martin DB9 was separated in the fridge section of the cool wall.
The DB9 enjoys lots of power from its 6.0 liter, V12 engine that offers a whopping 450 horsepower and 420 lb ft of torque. This amount of torque will give you immediate whiplash if not careful. Married to this engine is a choice of two transmissions. The first is a manual 6 speed and the second is an automatic triptronic transmission. If you are wondering about acceleration, the DB9 definitely offers quick acceleration- less than 5 seconds from 0 to 60 and with its large 19 inch wheels, the DB9 offers incredible handling and performance.
